Idaho Steelheads face Allen Americans in opening playoff series

The Idaho Steelheads (38-24-10) wound up the fifth seed in the ECHL’s Western Conference after splitting their final two games of the regular season with Missouri.

They take on defending champion and No. 4-seeded Allen (41-24-7) in the conference quarterfinals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs beginning Thursday on the road.

The Steelheads and Americans met four times this season, with Idaho going 2-1-1. The teams have not met since December 19th and have never met in postseason play.

Idaho will host Allen for Games 3 and 4 (plus Game 5, if necessary). Single-game tickets for Games 3 and 4 at CenturyLink Arena go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday. For tickets information, call 331-8497 or visit idahosteelheads.com.

All games are broadcast on radio on 1350 AM, and home games also air on Cable One channel 72.
