Idaho Steelheads beat Missouri, finish ECHL regular season Saturday
Rob Linsmayer scored two goals to put Idaho ahead for good, and the Steelheads defeated the Missouri Mavericks 4-2 in an ECHL hockey game Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.
Andre Bouvet-Morrissette followed Linsmayer’s pair with a goal nearly 6 minutes into the second period for a 4-1 lead.
Philippe Desrosiers had 19 saves for Idaho (38-23-10), which moved two points ahead of Colorado into the West Division lead pending the Eagles’ late result at Alaska. Former Steelheads goaltender Josh Robinson had 35 stops, including a Bouvet-Morrissette penalty shot, for Missouri (51-15-5), which has earned the Brabham Cup for the regular-season points champion.
The teams complete the regular season at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
