Idaho Steelheads win road finale, reclaim ECHL division lead

Kyle Jean scored a power-play goal in the second period, and Carson McMillan added an empty-netter to seal Idaho’s 2-0 victory over the Rapid City Rush in an ECHL hockey game Tuesday night.

Philippe Desrosiers posted his second shutout of the season — both against Rapid City — with 36 saves for Idaho (37-23-10), which moves two points ahead of idle Colorado and Utah for the Pacific Division lead with 84.

The Steelheads, who have clinched a playoff berth, host ECHL-leading Missouri at 7:10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at CenturyLink Arena to complete the regular season.
