Big second period dooms Steelheads

Idaho gave up three second-period goals and couldn’t find a way back, falling 4-2 to Colorado Saturday in ECHL hockey at CenturyLink Arena.

Emil Molin tied the game at 1-1 in the first period on a power-play goal. The Steelheads (35-22-6) again tied the game in the second as Tommy Fallen scored.

However, Colorado scored two more goals before the end of the period. Idaho returns to action Wednesday against the Utah Grizzlies at CenturyLink Arena.
