Kieffer Christianson takes first giant slalom title
Kieffer Christianson won his first national title Saturday at the Nature Valley U.S. Alpine Championships with a total time of 2 minutes, 16.62 seconds.
Despite posting DNFs in Thursday’s Super G and Friday’s slalom, Christianson won the first run and pushed his lead to .83 seconds in the second, besting Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Erik Read.
The competition wraps up Sunday with the women’s giant slalom.
