Idaho Steelheads fall to Colorado in overtime; rematch Saturday
Rob Linsmayer had his first professional hat trick, and Emil Molin scored in his return to the team, but Idaho lost 5-4 to Colorado in an ECHL hockey game Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.
Molin, who was reassigned from the AHL’s Texas Stars, tied the game 3-3 with 6 1/2 minutes left in the second period, and Linsmayer’s third goal gave the Steelheads (35-21-9) the lead. But Johnny Lazo’s second goal forced OT, and Adrian Veideman scored 2:35 into the extra period for Colorado (34-26-4).
Idaho, which leads Utah in the West Division by three points, hosts Colorado again at 7:10 p.m. Saturday. The Grizzlies (35-25-6) visit Wednesday.
