Idaho Stampede acquire former NIC, Oregon guard
Idaho acquired Jalil Abdul-Bassit from the available player pool, bringing its NBA Development League roster to 10 players — not including Utah Jazz assignee Tibor Pleiss.
Abdul-Bassit (6-foot-4, 197 pounds) started this season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants before being waived in January.
The Anchorage, Alaska, native played at Monroe College (2011-12) and North Idaho College (2012-13) before transferring to Oregon (2013-15). He averaged 8.2 points and 1.7 rebounds in 35 games (19 starts) during his senior campaign. He ranked fifth in the Pac-12 in 3-point field goal percentage (.434) at after the 2014-15 season.
