Idaho Steelheads rout Rapid City; host another game tonight

Joe Basaraba, Jefferson Dahl and Carson McMillan scored in the first 16 minutes, and Kyle Jean added a short-handed goal in the second period as the Idaho Steelheads beat the Rush 4-1 in an ECHL hockey game Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.

Basaraba, Jean and McMillan added an assist apiece for Idaho (35-21-7), which has won eight of its past 10 games, and Andre Bouvet-Morrissette set up two goals. Philippe Desrosiers had 24 saves, allowing only a power-play goal early in the second period.

The teams meet again at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
