Trio of Treasure Valley graduates on NCAA Tournament squads
Three former basketball standouts from Treasure Valley high schools are part of NCAA Tournament teams, their games starting Thursday evening. Here’s a look at those three, and where to watch them.
KYLE DRANGINIS, GONZAGA
Senior, guard, No. 3
Skyview High School
This season: 33 games played (22 starts), 6.5 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, 3.2 assists per game (second on the team)
Dranginis, a two-time Idaho Gatorade Player of the Year, has been part of 122 wins while with the Bulldogs (26-7). He redshirted the 2011-12 season. He's playing his best basketball at the tail end of his career, scoring 13 points in the WCC championship against Saint Mary's, giving him double figures in seven of the last 15 games.
“I’m really happy for where he’s at currently,” Gonzaga coach Mark Few told the Spokesman-Review. “He’s finally doing what we thought and hoped and recruited around, for what we need him to do.”

ISAIAH WRIGHT, UTAH
Sophomore, guard, No. 1
Borah High School
This season: 27 games played, 2.1 points per game, 1.6 assists per game, 13.5 minutes per game
A two-time 5A state champion at Borah, Wright played in 33 games last season as a true freshman, averaging 1.9 ppg. He played in two Pac-12 tournament games, playing 37 minutes and scoring eight points for the Utes (26-8).

JC KENNEDY, WEBER STATE
Sophomore, guard/forward, No. 33
Skyview High School
This season: Four games played, eight points in 9 minutes
Kennedy redshirted 2013-14 and played in one game last season as a walk-on for the Wildcats (26-8 this season).
