Idaho Stampede lose to Los Angeles on the road

Former Stampede player Vander Blue scored 35 points, and the Los Angeles D-Fenders defeated Idaho 117-107 in an NBA Development League basketball game Saturday night.

Blue made 16-of-17 free throws for L.A. (22-16), which shot 30-of-32 from the line, earned a 20-2 advantage in fast-break points and forced 23 Idaho turnovers.

Brandon Fields led Idaho (14-25) with a career-high 29 points and eight assists. Tibor Pleiss (17, 13 rebounds), JJ O’Brien (16), Corey Hawkins (16) and Henry Domercant (13) also reached double figures.

The Stampede have a week off before visiting Austin on March 6.
