Idaho Stampede defeat Rio Grande Valley at home

Idaho shot 61.9 percent in the first quarter and held Rio Grande Valley to 12 points in the fourth en route to a 102-92 victory in an NBA D-League game at CenturyLink Arena on Saturday night.

JJ O’Brien had 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Stampede (14-23), while Brandon Fields added a game-high 25 points and six assists. Raphiael Putney led the Vipers (18-16) with 19 points.

Earlier Saturday, the Phoenix Suns announced the signing of Stampede point guard Phil Pressey to a 10-day contract. This is Pressey’s second call-up this season, and he will join his third NBA team (Boston, Philadelphia).
