Steelheads’ offense comes alive to beat Rapid City; former player dies
Idaho found the back of the net in every period on its way to a 5-2 win over Rapid City in ECHL hockey at CenturyLink Arena on Wednesday night.
Carson McMillan led the attack, netting two goals in the second and one in the third to complete his hat trick. Emil Molin and Kyle Jean scored the other goals for Idaho. Idaho returns to action Friday, opening a three-game series at Atlanta.
FORMER STEELHEADS PLAYER DIES
Blaine Jarvis, who scored two goals in nine games with Idaho in 2008-09, died Tuesday in a snowmobile accident in the Island Park area of Eastern Idaho, according to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office. Jarvis, who was 31, hit a tree and died at the scene. Jarvis was a forward from Gladstone, Manitoba.
