Idaho Stampede lose to Los Angeles in double overtime

Justin Harper and Vander Blue scored 28 points apiece, and the Los Angeles D-Fenders held the Idaho Stampede to six points in the second overtime to earn a 122-118 home victory in an NBA Development League basketball game Monday night.

Harper made a reverse layup while fouled and converted the 3-point play with 1 minute, 32 seconds left to give Los Angeles (12-12) a 119-118 lead. Blue made 3-of-4 free throws in the final 27.5 seconds to seal the victory.

Idaho’s Treveon Graham made a transition 3-pointer off a Phil Pressey drive-and-pass with 11.2 seconds remaining in regulation to tie the game 99-99. Andre Ingram countered with 10 seconds left in the first 3-minute OT with one of his six 3s to force the second OT.

Ingram finished with 22 points for L.A., and Ryan Gomes added 19 points and 13 rebounds. Jeff Ayres paced Idaho (9-16) with 29 points and 16 rebounds, while Graham added 24 points in 34 minutes off the bench. Bryce Dejean-Jones scored 23, and Pressey had 21 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

Idaho visits the Santa Cruz Warriors (10-15) on Wednesday before starting a three-game homestand.
