Stampede defense fuels win over Fort Wayne
JJ O’Brien and Bryce Dejean-Jones each scored 22 points, and Idaho held the Mad Ants to 39.5 percent shooting in their 98-92 win in the NBA D-League Showcase on Saturday afternoon.
Idaho built an 11-point lead by the end of the third quarter, but the Mad Ants chipped away, cutting the lead to 95-92 with 25.4 seconds left.
O’Brien hit 2-of-2 free throws on the ensuing possession, icing the game. CJ Fair led Fort Wayne with 22 points off the bench.
