Steelheads shut down by Utah on the road

The Grizzlies scored a goal in each period, holding off Idaho 3-1 on Saturday night in ECHL hockey action.

It was Utah’s first victory over the Steelheads in seven tries. Utah led 3-0 before Andrew Carroll scored Idaho’s lone goal in the third — his sixth goal of the season.

Taylor Peters recorded the assist. Jack Campbell stopped 22 shots on goal.

The Steelheads remain three points in back of the Grizzlies in the West Division. Idaho returns home for two games against Tulsa on Friday and Saturday at CenturyLink Arena.
