Idaho Steelheads cap road trip with another victory
Cole Ully scored his first goal as a Steelhead at 3 minutes, 24 seconds of overtime, and Idaho defeated the Allen Americans 3-2 for its second straight win to end a four-game ECHL hockey road trip.
Ully also assisted Andrew Carroll’s second-period score, which gave the Steelheads (9-14-4) a 2-1 lead. Carroll dropped the gloves off the opening faceoff, and six fighting majors were distributed in regulation — four in the first 1:45.
Emil Molin struck first on a power play 3:26 into the game for Idaho, which had a 14-1 shot advantage over Allen (15-8-1) in the first 20 minutes.
The Steelheads return home Wednesday to face Utah, then host Allen for two Friday and Saturday.
