Idaho Stampede add two NBA guards to roster
The NBA D-League franchise plays three home games this week, and will do so with Tyus Jones (Timberwolves) and Phil Pressey (76ers) on the roster.
Jones was the 24th pick in the first round of this year’s NBA Draft after winning an NCAA championship at Duke in April.
Jones was voted Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four after scoring 23 points against Wisconsin in the championship game.
He’s been assigned to Idaho after playing only two games in Minnesota.
Pressey returns to the Stampede after a 14-game call-up with the 76ers, where he averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 assists a game.
Idaho plays Texas on Wednesday and Bakersfield on Friday and Saturday. The first two games start at 7 p.m. at CenturyLink Arena; Saturday’s tip-off is 8 p.m.
