College of Idaho volleyball lands two on regional team

Middle blocker Kylie Porter (Capital High) and setter Sierra Porter (Rocky Mountain High) were named to the American Volleyball Coaches’ Association All-Northwest Region first team Monday.

The Coyotes’ Derek Riggs was chosen as the assistant coach of the year, and Carroll College senior libero Rebecca Sweeney (Bishop Kelly High) was an honorable mention selection.

NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders signed setter Megan Nelson (Centennial High), outside hitter Lexi Ward (Timberline High) and middle blocker Kari Staples (Vancouver, Wash.).
