Steelheads forward Beck on loan after loss

Colton Beck opened the scoring in the first period, but it was all the production Idaho would see in a 4-1 loss to the Rapid City Rush on Wednesday night in ECHL hockey action. The Rush scored just 2:29 later to even the score, then pulled away with three goals in the second period. Zack Kamrass recorded the assist for Idaho (5-9-4). On Thursday, Beck was loaned to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League. He leads the Steelheads in scoring with 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) — second in the ECHL. Steelheads goaltender Maxime Lagace will also be returning to the AHL after he was recalled to the Texas Stars.
