Idaho Steelheads open nine-game road trip, lose at Orlando

Idaho scored three goals in the third period — and gave up three — in a 5-4 ECHL hockey loss at the Orlando Solar Bears on Thursday night.

Orlando (5-3-1) led 2-1 after two periods, with Taylor Peters scoring for the Steelheads (4-6-2).

Orlando added the first three goals of the third, with Idaho getting two late goals from Colton Beck and one from Zack Kamrass.

Maxime Lagace made 25-of-30 saves in his Steelheads debut after being assigned to Idaho by the Texas Stars (AHL) earlier in the day.

The Steelheads continue their 18-day trip at the Florida Everblades in Estero, Fla., at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
