Idaho colleges roundup: College of Idaho women’s soccer loses in Cascade semifinals
One night after recording its seventh shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Corban, the College of Idaho fell to Eastern Oregon 4-0 in the semifinals of the Cascade Conference Championships on Thursday.
Crystal Schuder recorded a hat trick for Eastern Oregon, which plays Carroll College in the title game Saturday.
The College of Idaho finishes the season 14-4, matching the school record for wins in a season.
NORTHWEST NAZARENE VOLLEYBALL: The Crusaders rallied for a 23-25, 25-21, 25-21, 25-13 win over Seattle Pacific in Nampa to improve to 16-9 overall and 13-4 in GNAC play.
BOISE STATE VOLLEYBALL: The Broncos (19-7, 11-4 Mountain West) earned their third straight sweep with a 25-16, 25-23, 25-8 win over San Diego State at Bronco Gym. Also, the program has signed Cassedi Simon (West Liberty, Iowa) and Janell Walley (Yucaipa, Calif.) to national letters of intent, it announced Thursday.
BSU WRESTLING: The Broncos opened their dual schedule, defeating Midland 36-9 and falling to 15th-ranked Iowa State 34-3 on Thursday in Ames, Iowa. Junior Rami Haddadin (125 pounds) won both of his matches to improve to 5-1 for Boise State. The Broncos remain in Ames for Sunday’s Cyclone Open, their second tournament of the season.
