Check out these Idaho ties at NCAA track championships. Here’s when to watch

The 2026 NCAA outdoor track and field championships run June 10-14 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, and the Gem State will be well represented.

Thirteen athletes with Idaho ties qualified for nationals, and the Idaho Statesman has compiled a list of those athletes and how to watch them in action.

Athletes are listed in alphabetical order by last name. All times Mountain.

WOMEN’S NATIONAL QUALIFIERS

Emily Jobes, Boise State: The senior transfer from Pitt qualified in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing seventh in a season-best 10:05.35 in the NCAA West Regionals to earn the 19th seed out of 24 qualifiers. The semifinals begin at 6:38 p.m. Thursday, June 11, with television coverage on ESPN2. The final is set for 6:24 p.m. Saturday, June 13, also on ESPN2.

Abby Kendrick, Boise State: The fifth-year senior from Missoula, Montana, finished just ahead of her teammate in the West Regional of the 3,000 steeplechase in fifth place in 10:04.94. Kendrick is seeded 16th. The semifinals begin at 6:38 p.m. Thursday, June 11, with television coverage on ESPN2. The final is set for 6:24 p.m. Saturday, June 13, also on ESPN2.

Rosina Machu, Gonzaga: The Bulldogs’ school record holder in the 5,000 and 10,000 qualified for nationals in both events. Machu, a Boise High graduate, earned first-team All-American honors last year in the 10,000 with a seventh-place showing and is seeded seventh in the race again this season (32:29.47). She is seeded 16th in the 5,000 (15:38.43). The 10,000 final begins at 8:56 p.m. Thursday, June 11, with coverage on ESPN2. The 5,000 final follows at 7:55 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on ESPN2.

Constanze Paoli, Idaho: The junior, who hails from Alzenau, Germany, won her heat of the 3,000 steeplechase in 10:02.74 at the NCAA West Regionals and is seeded 14th out of 24 runners. The semifinals begin at 6:38 p.m. Thursday, June 11, with television coverage on ESPN2. The final is set for 6:24 p.m. Saturday, June 13, also on ESPN2.

Kaiya Robertson, Boise State: After winning her heat of the 1,500 in a program-record 4:09.17 at the NCAA West Regional, the Mountain West champion is back at nationals for the second year in a row as the No. 6 seed. The semifinals start at 6:21 p.m. Thursday, June 11, and will be broadcast on ESPN2. The final is scheduled for 6:12 p.m. Saturday, June 13, on ESPN2.

MEN’S NATIONAL QUALIFIERS

Logan Hammer, Utah State: The senior and Columbia High graduate advances to nationals for the third year in a row in the pole vault. He placed seventh in the West Regional with a clearance of 17-7.25 and is seeded 17th. Competition in the pole vault is slated to begin at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, with dedicated coverage on ESPN+.

Mason Lawyer, Arizona: The Big 12 champion in the 100 and 200 will also compete in the Wildcats’ 4x100 relay. Lawyer, a Boise High grad, is seeded sixth in the 100 in a school-record 10.03 and is ninth in the 200 (20.28). The semifinals for all three events are Wednesday, June 10, starting with the 4x100 at 6:05 p.m., followed by the 100 at 7:25 p.m. and the 200 at 8:29 p.m. Wednesday’s TV coverage starts at 6:05 p.m. on ESPN. Finals for all three races are on Friday, June 12, at 6:02 p.m. (4x100), 6:52 p.m. (100) and 7:37 p.m. (200), with broadcast coverage on ESPN2.

James Onanubosi, Arizona: The senior and Bishop Kelly High product will team with Lawyer, Parker Duskin and John Paredes in the 4x100 relay, where they are seeded 20th with a time of 39.02. It is Onanubosi’s fourth straight year representing the Wildcats at nationals in the event. The semifinals are at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, on ESPN, and the final is set for 6:02 p.m. Friday, June 12, on ESPN2.

Steven Schmidt, Oklahoma State: The former Northwest Nazarene University athlete qualified in the decathlon as the 18th of 24 competitors with 7,729 points. The decathlon will be contested June 10-11 with live coverage of individual events on ESPN+ beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday and 11:45 a.m. Thursday.

Blake Sturgis, Idaho: The senior from Spokane qualified for nationals in the javelin on his final throw of the NCAA West Regional with a distance of 236-7. Sturgis is seeded 10th in the field, which will compete at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, June 10. Dedicated TV coverage will be on ESPN+.

Axel Tirado-Sanchez, Idaho State: The reigning Big Sky champion in the discus earned the No. 11 seed with a throw of 192-6 at the NCAA West Regional. An Emmett High graduate, Tirado-Sanchez will be making his nationals debut as a senior. The discus competition is slated for 3:15 p.m. Friday, June 12, on ESPN+.

Kai Twaddle-Dunham, Auburn: The sophomore from Centennial High earned his first nationals trip with a throw of 190-2, good enough for ninth at the NCAA West Regional. He is seeded 15th. The discus competition is scheduled for 3:15 p.m. Friday, June 12, on ESPN+.

Raekwon Weatherspoon, Boise State: After scratching on his first two attempts at the NCAA West Regional, the junior from Las Vegas recorded a distance of 25-7.25 to advance to nationals. Weatherspoon is the No. 12 seed. The long jump will be contested at 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, with dedicated coverage on ESPN+.
