2027 NFL Mock Draft: Myles Garrett Trade Shakes Up Early 1st-Round Projection

It's never too early to look ahead to the 2027 NFL Draft, and now that we've got another blockbuster trade with a first-round pick changing hands, it's time to see how it could impact the top of the board next year.

The Cleveland Browns are sending star pass rusher Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams for a huge return that includes a first-round pick in 2027, giving a boost to the Rams' Super Bowl chances with the league's best defensive player, and giving the Browns more ammo to hopefully land a new franchise quarterback.

As the dust starts to settle from a busy day around the league, here's an updated (if still super early) look at how the first round of next year's NFL Draft could turn out, using the latest updated Super Bowl odds to determine the pick order:

1. Miami Dolphins

Arch Manning | QB | Texas

If the team picking here doesn't need a quarterback, the bidding war will be off the charts. If it's the Dolphins, they're in perfect position to draft Manning, with a solid veteran already in place (Malik Willis), giving them time to be patient with his development. The tools and upside are through the roof with Manning, but he'll have to deliver on the hype this season.

2. New York Jets

Dante Moore | QB | Oregon

This could have been the Jets' pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but Moore opted for another year to handle some unfinished business with the Ducks instead. If the Jets end up in this spot again, they'd be wise to invest in Moore as their new franchise passer, with his polished skill set and poised style of play as an efficient distributor from the pocket.

3. Arizona Cardinals

Jeremiah Smith | WR | Ohio State

Who knows how the Cards will feel about Carson Beck next offseason, but in this scenario, there's not another quarterback worth passing on the best overall player in the draft. Marvin Harrison Jr. is still chasing a breakout, but he could quickly become the team's No. 2 receiver behind a fellow Buckeye in Smith, who has been NFL-ready since his freshman season.

4. Cleveland Browns

LaNorris Sellers | QB | South Carolina

This would be an odd spot for the Browns, who obviously need a new franchise quarterback to build around. They could try to trade up, but it's unlikely other QB-needy teams ahead of them would be willing to do business. It's possible they could use this pick on a high-end pass rusher to replace Myles Garrett, but nothing matters until they find that quarterback. Of the others left on the board, Sellers has the most upside.

5. Tennessee Titans

Colin Simmons | Edge | Texas Tech

The Titans keep stacking foundational pieces around a budding star quarterback in Cam Ward, landing an elite edge rusher in Simmons. A defensive front that includes Jeffrey Simmons, Jermaine Johnson II, Keldric Faulk, Olu Oladejo and Simmons would be dangerous in the hands of a coach like Robert Saleh.

6. Las Vegas Raiders

Leonard Moore | CB | Notre Dame

This roster needs a ton of help, so this pick is about pure value, regardless of position. Outside of Jeremiah Smith, you could make a strong argument that Moore is the best player in this class. He's an absolute shutdown artist with an ideal blend of physical tools, mental prowess, and pro-ready technique at a premium position.

7. New Orleans Saints

Dylan Stewart | Edge | South Carolina

The Saints need to make a long-term investment in their defensive front by finding a high-end edge rusher who can replace the production Cam Jordan brought to the table over his long career in New Orleans. Stewart has a lightning-quick first step and a knack for creating splash plays in opposing backfields.

8. Atlanta Falcons

Trevor Goosby | OT | Texas

Jake Matthews has been a stalwart for the Falcons at left tackle, but he'll turn 35 years old next offseason, so it's time for Atlanta to find his replacement. Goosby could have been a fairly early pick in 2026 based on his tools and upside, but another year of experience and polish could turn him into top-10 material.

9. Pittsburgh Steelers

Julian Sayin | QB | Ohio State

Aaron Rodgers says this will be his final season in the NFL, and through the Steelers have invested picks in each of the last two drafts in quarterbacks, Drew Allar and Will Howard won't keep them from spending a top-10 pick on a potential franchise passer if they believe one's worthy of that slot. Sayin doesn't have ideal size or elite arm strength, but he's an accurate and efficient passer who could play his way into this range.

10. New York Giants

Cam Coleman | WR | Texas

The Giants still aren't sure when Malik Nabers will be back to full strength after the knee injury that cost him nearly all of the 2025 season, and Wan'Dale Robinson left in free agency. Malachi Fields should help Jaxson Dart as a possession target, but finding another high-end receiver with WR1 skills and potential would be ideal. Coleman should shine in Austin after being held back by lackluster quarterback play at Auburn.

11. Carolina Panthers

Jordan Seaton | OT | LSU

Yes, the Panthers just spent a first-rounder on Monroe Freeling, but Taylor Moton isn't getting any younger, and Ickey Ekwonu is better off sliding inside to guard. Seaton still needs to be more consistent and maximize his physical tools, but if he unlocks his full potential, pairing him up with Freeling could give Carolina high-quality bookends for years to come.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

David Stone | DL | Oklahoma

You can never go wrong loading up on talent in the trenches, and the Bucs have had trouble getting consistent pressure with their defensive front. Stone would give them another explosive playmaker along the interior, and give them insurance in case Calijah Kancey continues to struggle with durability.

13. Washington Commanders

Jamari Johnson | TE | Oregon

The Commanders need to surround Jayden Daniels with as many playmakers as possible, regardless of position. Running back could be a consideration here, but Johnson's impressive combination of size and athleticism would give the Washington offense a valuable mismatch weapon at tight end.

14. Minnesota Vikings

Kewan Lacy | RB | Ole Miss

Aaron Jones turns 32 in December, so while the Vikings have some solid change-of-pace runners on the roster, investing a premium pick on an every-down back should still be on the table. Lacy is an explosive runner who can create big plays on the ground and through the air, and is worthy of top-15 consideration.

15. New York Jets (from IND)

Ellis Robinson IV | CB | Georgia

Trading away Sauce Gardner netted the Jets multiple first-round picks, but also left them without a true shutdown corner. That could change if they spend one of those extra selections on Robinson, who has all the tools to quickly develop into a quality starter at a premium position.

16. Jacksonville Jaguars

KJ Bolden | S | Georgia

The Jags have a fairly strong roster on both sides of the ball, which could allow them to make somewhat of a luxury pick by taking a safety in the top 20. Bolden isn't the biggest safety prospect, but he's an athletic playmaker who knows how to find the ball and make big things happen against both the run and pass.

17. Chicago Bears

A'Mauri Washington | DL | Oregon

Chicago is just a few key additions on defense away from being one of the most complete teams in the NFL, and finding a massive, run-stuffing interior defender is one of them. Washington would have been one of the top defensive tackle prospects in the 2026 class, but after another year of college experience, he could be worthy of a top-20 pick.

18. New York Jets (from DAL)

Cayden Green | OL | Missouri

You can never go wrong loading up on talent in the trenches, and if the Jets want to get the most out of whichever young quarterback they draft next year, bolstering the offensive line should be a priority. Green has starting experience at tackle against SEC competition, but he could be even more dominant if he slides inside to guard at the next level.

19. Dallas Cowboys (from GB)

Ryan Coleman-Williams | WR | Alabama

If the Cowboys aren't able to lock George Pickens into a long-term contract extension, they'll need to invest in a new WR2 next offseason. Last year, Coleman-Williams struggled to live up to the hype he created for himself as a freshman, but all the talent and potential is still there for him to be worthy of a first-round pick.

20. Cincinnati Bengals

Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa | LB | Notre Dame

This defense needs a difference-maker at the second level, and the recent draft picks they've made at the position haven't moved the needle. Viliamu-Asa has all the physical and mental tools to quickly develop into a cornerstone defender, and a stellar 2026 campaign for the Fighting Irish could land him in the top-20 conversation.

21. Houston Texans

Ahmad Hardy | RB | Missouri

This obviously hinges on a full recovery for Hardy from a gunshot wound he suffered earlier this year. On the field, his talent jumps off the tape, and he's exactly the kind of versatile, big-play back who could take the Houston offense to another another level. If he's back to full strength, Hardy could be a valuable addition to an already promising offense.

22. Denver Broncos

Matayo Uiagalelei | Edge | Oregon

You can never have too many talented pass rushers, and the Broncos don't have enough glaring needs elsewhere to pass on one here. Uiagalelei was a borderline first-round prospect in 2026, but just like many of his Oregon teammates, could benefit from another year of experience before making the jump to the NFL.

23. Philadelphia Eagles

Nick Marsh | WR | Indiana

After trading away AJ Brown, the Eagles could be looking for another big, physical target to add to their passing game next offseason. A transfer from Michigan State, Marsh should benefit from a strong supporting cast in Bloomington, and his skill set would be an ideal complement to DeVonta Smith and Makai Lemon.

24. Detroit Lions

Zabien Brown | CB | Alabama

Injuries have plagued the Detroit secondary in recent years, so it wouldn't be surprising to see the Lions invest in their depth at corner early in next year's NFL Draft. Brown has all the talent and physical skills to be a first-round prospect next year, and a strong 2025 season could solidify him as one of the best players at his position in the 2027 class.

25. San Francisco 49ers

Austin Siereveld | OT | Ohio State

Trent Williams is back for another year, but the future Hall of Famer can't play forever. The 49ers need to find a successor to learn from Williams before taking over as their franchise left tackle, and Siereveld could prove to be a worthy candidate if he builds on the solid film we saw from him last season.

26. Kansas City Chiefs

Trey'Dez Green | TE | LSU

This could be the last season of Travis Kelce's legendary career, which would leave the Chiefs in need of a new target for Patrick Mahomes at tight end. Green is a high-upside weapon who can stretch opposing defenses down the field and after the catch, and could develop into a valuable receiver early in his career.

27. Los Angeles Chargers

Ahmad Moten Sr. | DL | Miami (FL)

This defense needs more impact players along the interior in the trenches, and Moten would fit the bill. A well-rounded defender with size and power, Moten can take on double-teams and still stuff the run game, while bringing surprising quickness and pass-rushing potential for his size.

28. New England Patriots

Quincy Rhodes Jr. | Edge | Arkansas

Mike Vrabel needs more high-end edge rushers if he wants to take his defense to the next level, and play complementary football more consistently in the years ahead. Rhodes is another talented prospect who could have been a potential first-round pick in 2026, but will benefit from another year of college experience before making the leap.

29. Seattle Seahawks

Carter Smith | OL | Indiana

The defending Super Bowl champs have few glaring weaknesses on their roster, but bolstering the interior of their offensive line is at the top of that short list. Smith has a ton of starting experience under his belt at left tackle, but he could be more successful in the pros if he slides inside to guard, where Seattle could use an upgrade.

30. Buffalo Bills

Charlie Becker | WR | Indiana

The Bills need to keep surrounding Josh Allen with as much help as possible, and giving him reliable targets with sure hands is the way to go. Becker was a favorite of Fernando Mendoza in clutch situations last year, showing the ability to make key plays in big situations on downfield shots and back-shoulder throws.

31. Baltimore Ravens

Kelley Jones | CB | Mississippi State

This defense needs to keep loading up on talent across the board, and the secondary needs future investments, particularly at corner. Jones has an intriguing combination of size and length that makes him a challenge for any type of receiver, and the sky's the limit for his potential with those physical tools.

32. Cleveland Browns (from LAR)

Damon Wilson Jr. | Edge | Miami (FL)

Jared Verse will help alleviate some of the loss of Myles Garrett, but the Browns could still use an upgrade on the other side of their defensive front. After flashing dominant potential at Missouri, Wilson will have a chance to follow Rueben Bain Jr. and Akheem Mesidor as first-round picks coming out of the Canes' impressive group.
