President Trump Reportedly Skips White House Event For Golf
The President of the United States reportedly skipped a big White House event to play a round of golf.
President Trump, 79, missed a faith-based event on the National Mall, promoted by the White House, over the weekend. President Trump did make some time to post on social media about the event. The event was meant to highlight "the Church's role in history and civic life" in honor of America's 250th birthday.
The Freedom250 event continued: "From morning fellowship in front of the U.S. Capitol to an evening filled with music anchored at the main stage on 12th Street, Rededicate 250 will be rooted in giving thanks for God's presence in our national life throughout 250 years of American history and asking for his guidance for the next 250."
But President Trump was reportedly not in attendance.
"I HOPE EVERYBODY AT REDEDICATE 250 IS HAVING A GOOD TIME. IF THERE IS ANYTHING I CAN DO TO HELP, JUST HAVE OUR BEAUTIFUL, BOTH INSIDE AND OUT, RACHAEL C.D., GIVE ME A CALL. I'M BACK FROM CHINA!!!" he wrote.
President Trump, meanwhile, reportedly skipped the event, instead choosing to play a round of golf.
The President of the United States reportedly went to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, instead of attending the event.
"After arriving at his golf club just before 1 p.m., the commander-in-chief left at 4:22 p.m., according to White House press pool dispatches," the report states.
"The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Trump previously snubbed the holiest day on the Christian calendar, skipping Easter Service last month to take an odd motorcade tour of D.C. Naturally, his Easter morning travels also took him to Trump National Golf Club."
President Trump has played a lot of golf
The Donald Trump Golf Tracker has since been updated.
"Donald Trump has golfed 111 days out of 485 days since returning to office (22.9% of the presidency spent golfing)," it claims.
"Est. cost to taxpayers for golf since returning to office: $155,400,000."
The President of the United States has made it extremely clear that he loves to play golf, that's for sure.
