Concerts, tickets, TV and more: What to expect at 35th Albertsons Boise Open
The Albertsons Boise Open begins Thursday at Hillcrest Country Club — the 35th playing of the community staple. Here’s what you need to know:
Schedule: Thursday-Sunday. Weekend tee times will be announced the night before. Golfers will be on the course nearly all day Thursday-Friday.
Venue: Hillcrest Country Club (par 71)
Tickets: Sunday tickets are $10 each and available through the tournament website. All other tickets are sold out. Children 15 and younger get in free with a ticketed adult.
Concert series: Boise Open admission includes concerts for the first three days — Jon Pardi (Thursday), Daryl Hall (Friday) and Goo Goo Dolls (Saturday).
Parking: Free parking with shuttles is available in the Boise Towne Square north lot, north of Dillard’s
TV: Golf Channel will broadcast 5-7 p.m. Thursday-Friday, 4-7 p.m. Saturday and 3-5 p.m. Sunday
Format: The Boise Open invites the top 156 players on the Korn Ferry Tour, which is the level below the PGA Tour. This is the first of four Korn Ferry Tour Finals events. The top 144 on the points list advance to the second event. At the end of the four-tournament finals series, the top 30 players advance to the 2025 PGA Tour. The next 45 players get full exemptions on the Korn Ferry Tour for next season.
Purse: $1.5 million
Last year’s champion: Chan Kim is 94th on the PGA Tour FedExCup points list this season, missing the playoffs but giving himself a strong chance to stay on the PGA Tour for 2025. He has made 15 of 22 cuts, including a tie for eighth at the Mexico Open, a tie for sixth at the Puntacana Championship and a tie for 10th at the ISCO Championship. Most recently, he tied for 12th at the Wyndham Championship.
