Week 10 of our Pick 6 college football contest is Arizona-free. Here’s why that may help
Most Pick 6 contestants appeared to be heading toward another strong showing last Saturday — until a late-night prediction drought took place in the Arizona desert.
Less than 1% of participants correctly picked both Arizona State’s win over Washington State and Arizona’s win over Oregon State, which led to quite a shakeup in the standings.
Here are the winning teams from Week 9, followed by the percentage of people who correctly picked them: Georgia over Florida (94%), Oregon over Utah (44%), Boise State over Wyoming (71%), UCLA over Colorado (76%), Arizona State over Washington State (4%) and Arizona over Oregon State (9%).
And here is how the final Pick 6 Top 6 ended up after the Arizona carnage. Score predictions for the Boise State game were used as a tiebreaker — with margin of victory taking precedence, followed by total points scored.
The overall season leaders will look familiar, though there is a bit of a pileup between spots 2 and 5.
Ready for Week 10? The good news: There are no Arizona games on this week’s list. But two of the games don’t start until 8 p.m. Mountain on Saturday (including Boise State’s game at Fresno State), so you again won’t know whether your picks were derailed until late at night. First kickoff on the list is at 1:30 p.m. Mountain, so get your picks in by then. Here’s a recap of the rules.
1) List your name (optional).
2) List a unique user name if you don’t want your real name used (optional).
3) List your favorite college football team (optional).
4) Pick the winners of our six games.
5) As a tiebreaker, predict the final score of the Boise State-Fresno State game.
6) You’ll have until kickoff of the first game on our list to make your picks.
Good luck! If the game format isn’t showing up below on your phone or browser, follow this link.
