Readers rocked in latest Pick 6 college football prediction contest. Ready for a repeat?
Boise State was off last week, but Pick 6 predictors were definitely on their game.
A whopping 79% of participants were perfect or missed just one game. To be fair, the fact that the favored teams won in all but one of the six games probably had something to do with it. But still, pretty impressive.
These are the winning teams from Week 8, followed by the percentage of people who correctly picked them: Ohio State over Penn State (75%), Air Force over Navy (96%), Oregon over Washington State (96%), Alabama over Tennessee (89%), Florida State over Duke (86%) and Utah over USC (46%).
Here is the Pick 6 Top 6 for Week 8. Because Boise State had the week off, score predictions for the Utah-USC game were used as a tiebreaker — with margin of victory taking precedence, followed by total points scored.
And here are the season leaders through Week 8.
Boise State is back in action this week, and the Broncos have been anything but predictable — so perhaps Week 9 results won’t be as kind to Pick 6 predictors as Week 8. Picks this week must be submitted by 1:30 p.m. Mountain on Saturday. Here’s a rundown of the rules.
1) List your name (optional).
2) List a unique user name if you don’t want your real name used (optional).
3) List your favorite college football team (optional).
4) Pick the winners of our six games.
5) As a tiebreaker, predict the final score of the Boise State-Wyoming game.
6) You’ll have up until kickoff of the first game on our list to make your picks (1:30 p.m. Saturday).
Good luck! If the game format isn’t showing up below on your phone or browser, follow this link.
