Driver dies in head-on collision with tow truck on Idaho highway

A man died Wednesday when the car he was driving crashed into a tow truck on the Idaho 16 highway, the Ada County Sherriff’s Office reported in a tweet.

The sheriff’s office reported the “head-on crash” Wednesday evening on Twitter. Two passengers from the car were taken to a hospital, according to the tweets. The tow truck driver “was not badly injured” according to initial information.

The tweets indicated the crash happened near Firebird Raceway, which is along the highway that runs from Ada County to Emmett.
