Boise Hawks drop second straight game to Spokane Indians

The Hawks pitching staff struggled, the defense made two key errors and the offense didn’t come alive until far too late as Boise lost to Spokane 13-6 on Sunday night in Northwest League action.

Both Boise errors could have been inning-ending double plays, instead allowing runs to score.

In the fifth, Spokane’s Cristian Inoa hit a grand slam following a miscue, the highlight of a nine-run frame.

Matt McLaughlin had three hits for the Hawks, and J.B. Moss, Tyler Nevin and Daniel Jipping each drove in two runs.

Boise can take the series from Spokane with a win Monday night.
