Boise Hawks jump out to big lead and hold off Salem-Keizer Volcanoes

Daniel Jipping went 2 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs, Boise scored four runs in the first inning and the Hawks cruised to an 8-3 win over Salem-Keizer on Wednesday in Northwest League action at Memorial Stadium.

Breiling Eusebio struck out seven in five innings to earn the win.

Boise took advantage of two Volcanoes errors in its big first inning.

The Hawks took two out of three from Salem-Keizer and open a five-game home series with Spokane on Thursday night.
