Firebird Raceway goes back in time for Oldies But Goodies Drags this weekend

Nostalgia and speed converge at the 37th annual Oldies But Goodies Drags on Saturday and Sunday at Firebird Raceway.

The event is open to race and show entries 1989 and older with more than 400 participants from 10 western states and Canada expected to compete in a variety of classes.

The 200-mph AA/Supercharged Coupes and Sedans headline the event, including the return of two-time defending Oldies champion Scott White of Seaside, Ore., and his 1941 Willys coupe.

Gates open at 9 a.m. each day. Professional qualifying is at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and final eliminations begin at noon Sunday.

Daily admission is $12 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and younger.
