Idaho Steelheads get late goal to beat Wheeling Nailers
Anthony Luciani broke a tie with 7:31 left in the game, and Idaho beat Wheeling 3-2 in ECHL hockey action on Friday night.
Brandon Anselmini opened the score in the first period, and Kellan Lain put Idaho up 2-1 going into the final period.
Wheeling tied the game early in the period, but Idaho was able to grab the win. Landon Bow made 27 saves for Idaho.
Earlier Friday, the Steelheads added Bow, forward Michael McMurty and defenseman Justin Hache from the AHL’s Texas Stars.
