Idaho Steelheads lose their first-ever ECHL game in West Virginia
Will Merchant netted his 12th power-play goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough as the Wheeling Nailers beat the Idaho Steelheads 4-1 in ECHL hockey action Wednesday night. It was the Steelheads’ first-ever game in West Virginia.
Wheeling, protecting a 2-1 lead, tacked on two third-period goals against Branden Komm.
The two teams continue their series Friday and Saturday nights.
