Idaho Steelheads give up lead, fall to Alaska Aces in OT

Alaska scored twice in the final 3 minutes, 6 seconds of regulation, then the Aces added the winning goal 30 seconds into overtime to beat Idaho 5-4 in an ECHL hockey game Saturday night at CenturyLink Arena.

Steven Tarasuk scored the winner for Alaska, which lost the first two games of the three-game series.

Will Merchant had two goals for the Steelheads, including Idaho’s final goal at 9:48 of the third period for a 4-2 lead.
