Idaho Steelheads cruise past Alaska Aces, going for sweep Saturday

Idaho scored three unanswered goals and beat Alaska 4-1 in ECHL hockey action Friday night at CenturyLink Arena.

Jefferson Dahl opened the scoring 28 seconds into the game, and Connor Chatham broke a 1-1 tie with a goal at the end of the first period.

David Glen and Anthony Luciani scored in the third. Will Merchant tallied three assists, and Philippe Desrosiers turned away 31 shots.

Idaho goes for the sweep when it hosts Alaska at 7:10 p.m. Saturday.
