Idaho cowboy cashes another check in tie-down roping at National Finals Rodeo
Matt Shiozawa of Chubbuck finished third in Monday night’s round of tie-down roping, earning $15,653.85 at the season-ending championship at Thomas & Mack Center. The veteran cowboy, making his eighth appearance at the NFR, tied his calf in 7.9 seconds and has won $32,717.94 in the first five days of the rodeo.
Two Idaho bull riders, Roscoe Jarboe (New Plymouth) and Garrett Smith (Rexburg), failed to register scores Monday.
The $10 million NFR continues through Saturday night.
