Idaho Steelheads defenseman recalled to Texas of AHL

Brandon Anselmini has played in all 18 of Idaho’s ECHL hockey games this season, and this is his first call-up to the Texas Stars of the AHL.

The Ferris State alum has two goals and 11 points with the Steelheads, including eight power-play points, which is tops among ECHL defensemen and rookies.

Idaho (11-5-2) hosts the Alaska Aces (11-4-0) at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday at CenturyLink Arena.
