Idaho Steelheads outlast Eagles in shootout, earn first road win

Joe Basaraba was the lone player to reach the back of the net in the shootout, lifting Idaho to a 2-1 victory over Colorado in ECHL hockey action Friday night.

Jefferson Dahl scored Idaho’s only goal with 4:31 remaining in the third period to force extra time.

Rookie goalkeeper Landon Bow picked up his third win of the season. He finished with 31 saves and stopped all five shootout attempts for the Steelheads (4-4-1), who face Colorado again at 7:05 p.m. Saturday to wrap up a three-game road trip.
