Tamarack ski resort to open Friday

Tamarack Resort will kick off its season Friday, Dec. 11.

Lifts will start running at 9 a.m.

The ski resort near Donnelly has gotten more than 2 feet of snow in the past week. The resort currently has 26 inches of snow at mid-mountain and 42 inches at the summit.

The Waltz and Showtime runs are expected to be groomed from mid-mountain. The Discovery Chair will be open. The entire upper portion of the mountain could be open, according to a release from the resort.
