A fishing class for kids? Yep! Here’s when it’s coming to Boise
I’m sure this comes as no surprise, but many of my happiest childhood memories are of fishing trips with family and friends. Fishing is such an awesome way to experience the outdoors with our favorite people. And my next Tight Lines 208 fishing class, Fishing Fun for Kids, is aimed at helping local kids and families make lifelong memories of their own!
Fishing Fun for Kids is set for Tuesday, July 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Boise Spectrum. This class will provide a fun learning environment and a solid foundation for young anglers — along with lots of useful tips for parents! Topics we will cover include common Idaho fish species; the basic tools, tackle and techniques needed to catch them; fishing safety; and the best local waters for young anglers to have success. We’ll also have hands-on activities, Q&A, fun giveaways and more!
To register, visit www.tightlines208.com. Each paid admission includes a child and a parent (or adult chaperon). The class is designed for children 12 and younger, but all ages are welcome! If you would like to make arrangements for multiple children or a larger group, email tightlinesboise@gmail.com and I will be happy to do so. I look forward to seeing you and your favorite young angler there. Tight lines!
