The Salmon River has year-round camping, and Spring Bar is one of a few developed camping areas upstream from Riggins.
The campground has trees and brush to provide shade to escape the summer heat, and there are beautiful sandy beaches nearby.
How to get there: Take Idaho 55 and U.S. 95 north to Riggins. Follow the Salmon
River Road upstream about 10 miles to the campground.
