Featured Activity: Ride Sun Valley begins Thursday

The Ride Sun Valley Bike Festival opens Thursday with one of the event’s highlights: the SheepTown Drag Race on Main Street in Hailey. The race features bikers pulling flaming logs. It runs from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Events continue through Sunday, capped by the Idaho Pump Track State Championships from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Ketchum Bike Park.

In addition to races, local cycling apparel company Club Ride will host free, guided mountain bike rides at 3 p.m. Friday, 8:30 a.m. Saturday and 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Two rides are offered at each time — an easier ride of about 2 hours and a longer ride of 3-plus hours.
