Southwestern Idaho Birders Association: Monthly meeting, 7 p.m. at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 13751 Upper Embankment Road, Nampa. Presentation by Bryce Robinson, a student in the master’s program at Boise State University, will feature the research of The Peregrine Fund, which aims to understand the impacts of climate change on the Gyrfalcon and the Arctic system.

Cougar Mountain Country Association Snowmobile Fun Run: At Wellington Recreation Park, Smiths Ferry (milepost 97 on Idaho 55). Registration from 9 a.m. to noon. Drawings start at 3:30 p.m. 870-0214, 830-0807.

Junior Duck Stamp Art Day: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 13751 Upper Embankment Road, Nampa. Young artists are given the opportunity to create and submit their own masterpiece to the Idaho Junior Duck Stamp art contest. Drop in any time to learn about Idaho waterfowl and create a contest entry. Supplies will be provided. Artwork must be submitted by March 15. Bogus Basin Nordic Team Cross Country Ski Clinic: 10 a.m. to noon or 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Bogus Basin Nordic Center, Frontier Point Lodge. Boise River Lecture: 6 p.m. at Garden City Library, 6015 Glenwood St. Idaho Rivers United presents Bruce Reichert, host of Idaho Public Television’s award-winning Outdoor Idaho, who will share stories and images of the headwaters of Idaho’s greatest rivers including the Boise River. Bogus Basin Snowshoe Series: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bogus Basin. Depart and return from Nampa Rec Center, 131 Constitution Way. Snowshoeing adventure, followed by a warm beverage at the Frontier Point Nordic Lodge. $20 each date, includes transportation, trail pass, snowshoeing tour and beverage.
