Peregrine Fund featured in Audubon Magazine
The article “What One Magnificent Predator Can Show Us About the Arctic’s Future” in the January issue showcases the Peregrine Fund’s gyrfalcon project and Boise State student, Bryce Robinson, whose master’s thesis focuses on Gyrfalcon diet on the Seward Peninsula.
Youth ice fishing day is Jan. 16
The free event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Poison Creek campground at Cascade Reservoir.
Loaner fishing gear, snacks and warm drinks will be available for kids. Wear warm clothes and bring bucket or chair to sit on. A fishing license isn’t required for kids or adults during the event.
