Opening of the Pepsi GoldRush Tubing Hill will follow last Friday's early opening of the Coach lift, Deer Point lift, Terrain Park and Nordic Center.

“We are continuing to open up additional areas on the mountain as conditions allow,” said Brad Wilson, Bogus Basin’s general manager. “Our new snowmaking equipment helped make this early opening ... possible.”

The tubing hill is scheduled to be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday for the next two weekends, then is expected to expand hours starting Dec. 18 to 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The hill features an 800 foot downhill slide with a paddle tow. The cost is $12 per person, per 2-hour session. Tubes are provided on the hill and are included with ticket purchase. Advance online reservations are required, and registration is open at bogusbasin.org. For more information call 208-332-5162.
