Bogus Basin unveiled its summer program, which will include opening the Simplot Lodge restaurant/bar Saturday and keeping it open Thursdays through Sundays through Labor Day.
Bogus also will operate Deer Point chairlift three times during the summer and run bike shuttles between the Simplot and Pioneer lodges.
“We have a great slate of events planned up at the mountain all summer long, including three days of chairlift service for scenic rides and mountain bike transport,” said Nate Shake, interim general manager. “We welcome the community to come up to see everything that is going on, including biking, hiking, disc golf, live music, hiking and running events.”
Starting June 13, a bike shuttle will run from the Simplot Lodge to Pioneer Lodge from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Cost is $25 per day or $10 for a single ride.
The lodge will feature an expanded menu at Bogus Creek Grill featuring soups, sandwiches and salads, as well as sunscreen, bike patch kits, energy bars and bike shuttle tickets. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
There will be live music every Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., beginning July 4 with a special concert — then more live music on the patio every weekend after that.
The Deer Point chairlift will operate July 4, Aug. 1 and Sept. 5, which coincides with concerts at the amphitheater, vendors and other activities. Cost for an all-day pass is $25. Single-ride chairlift ride tickets cost $10. The chairlift will run 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
