Mineral Identification: 1 p.m. at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology, 2455 Old Penitentiary Road, Boise. Coyote Short PG can identify rocks, minerals, and Native American artifacts. Bring in specimens and she will help identify them. $5 general, free for IMMG members and children. Preregistration required at idahomuseum.org/events. Ski Swap: 1 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Expo Idaho, 5610 N. Glewnood St., Garden City. Sellers can check in items for sale from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation (BBSEF) will keep 25 percent as commission and cut you a check for the rest. $5 admission.
