Parma woman dead and another left hospitalized after U.S. 20/26 crash

A two-vehicle crash near Notus, Idaho, left a Parma woman dead and a man in the hospital Friday evening.

At about 6:19 p.m., the vehicles collided on U.S. 20/26 and Purple Sage Road, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.

The 77-year-old woman was driving a 2013 Cadillac SRX traveling west, and a 67-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado heading east.

Police state the woman left the westbound lane and went into oncoming traffic, then collided head on with the Silverado.

The woman died at the scene, the release stated. The man was taken to a hospital.

All U.S. 20/26 lanes were blocked for about three hours after the crash.

Police are investigating the incident.
