Simmons letter: Bill Rutherford
Two important values of Idahoans are affordable housing and quality education.
Senator Chuck Winder, District 20, voted to limit Homeowner’s Property Tax Exemption to $100,000, unrealistic in today’s housing market. His votes have consistently undermined K-12 public teachers and supported charter schools.
Winder is financed by corporations and political action committees (PACs) who fund his campaigns and influence his actions. He has ties to ALEC, an organization dedicated to privatizing public schools. No D20 individuals contributed to his 2016 primary election campaign.
Vote for Bill Rutherford for District 20 Senator in November. He will work for “we the people.”
