Klein letter: Wrong McCarthy
I am so embarrassed. In my recent letter to the editor (Aug. 14) I did indeed reference the wrong Senator McCarthy. Joe McCarthy is the correct name I should have used, not Eugene McCarthy.
This error is completely my own and was not an attempt to sully the name of Eugene McCarthy or to confuse anyone with my own facts. If I have upset anyone I offer you my sincere apology.
I can only attribute this obvious error to temporary feeble-mindedness, which many friends will attest to not being all that temporary. Again, my apologies.
